Voters moving to new polling places will get new ID cards

Voters in the Nov. 7 election who will be voting at new polling places in five townships where new precincts were recently added will receive new voter identification cards from the Butler County Election Bureau.

The bureau said letters are expected to be mailed starting Sept. 5.

The county recently split several precincts with large numbers of registered voters and created seven new precincts to reduce waiting times at polls.

The county Board of Elections will notify all voters in Adams, Connoquenessing, Cranberry, Jackson and Middlesex townships regardless of whether their precincts were affected by the creation of the new voting precincts.
