You may have heard the work of musician and Cranberry native Nick Marzock without even knowing it.

Marzock boasts a resume that would make most performers green with envy. His portfolio includes collaborations with musicians such as Flo Rida, Styx and Jason Mraz, as well as a batch of original songs written for an episode of the animated sitcom “American Dad.” He has also performed voice-over work for major motion pictures and commercials.

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, Marzock will return to the Western Pennsylvania area for the first time in years to perform at the City Winery in Pittsburgh.

At the show, Marzock will perform work from his most recent album, “Disengage.” He also intends to add “interactive” elements to the concert, taking influence from Bruce Springsteen.

“I always loved whenever Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band take requests from the audience, and so I might do a little bit of that,” Marzock said. “It’s going to be a really lively acoustic performance. It should be a really fun night.”

Aside from his work as a solo musician, Marzock also performs with a band called the Action Figures, which features a rotating cast of actors including Scott Grimes and Greg Grunberg. On Aug. 5, the band played for the “STLV 57-Year Mission” Star Trek convention in Las Vegas.

On Sept. 23, the Action Figures are set to perform a show in Burbank, Calif., for a charity gala hosted by LeVar Burton, of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and “Reading Rainbow” fame. The gala, titled “Ending Child Exploitation,” benefits the Innocent Lives Foundation.

“It’s going to be a very Hollywood kind of thing with celebrities and such,” Marzock said. “We keep our schedule busy with those kind of events.”
