SUMMIT TWP — Police said the scene was calm at around 1:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 4, at the intersection of Route 422 and Bonniebrook Road after Butler County 911 Center received a call for a male with a self-inflicted gunshot.

First responders closed Bonniebrook Road at the intersection by the Dollar General while they assessed the scene. It remained closed until 3:35 p.m.

State police, East Butler Fire Station, Lick Hill Volunteer Fire Department and East Butler Ambulance responded to the scene. The state police forensic services unit also responded to the scene.
