Lowrie Place and Firehouse Subs in Butler Township have joined together to honor local first responders on Sept. 11.

Those who enjoy Firehouse Subs can support the effort by purchasing eat-in or takeout food from the restaurant in Butler Commons on Sept. 11, when 10% of all proceeds will be donated to the Butler Township Police Department, Butler Township Volunteer Fire District and Butler Ambulance Service in recognition of their service to the community.

The families of Lowrie Place residents will be encouraged to eat at Firehouse Subs on Sept. 11, and Lowrie Place officials are handling promotion of the event.
