Police: Man accused of conspiring with juveniles to take gun

A 20-year-old man was accused of conspiring with others to steal a gun from a minor in Butler, according to charges filed Monday, Sept. 4.

Vito N. Satiro, of Butler, was charged with felonies conspiracy and theft following an incident in Father Marinaro Park on Saturday.

Police said Satiro and two juveniles were recorded on surveillance footage in the park that night. The footage showed Satiro and one juvenile sitting in a vehicle and the other juvenile exiting the vehicle to commit the robbery. The group then left the scene in a car driven by Satiro.

The two juveniles connected to the case were charged through the juvenile court system, according to documents.

Satiro did not speak to police when questioned about the incident, police said.

Satiro was placed in Butler County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. His preliminary hearing before District Judge William Fullerton is scheduled Monday.
