Minor school bus collision reported at Mars Area Centennial School
One school bus rear-ended another at the Mars Area Centennial School campus during dismissal Wednesday, Sept. 6, the Mars Area School District reported.
Students who were on the buses were checked by paramedics, and no injuries were reported, according to the district. At the time of the accident, Mars Area Primary Center and Mars Area Elementary School students were on the buses, said district director of transportation, Christina Smith.
Smith said all students who were on the bus at the time of the accident were evaluated at the scene by the school nurse under the supervision of EMS personnel.
According to Smith, the buses in question were delayed until all students involved had been evaluated by medical personnel and either released to guardians or transported on another bus. Other elementary buses faced slight delays, she said.
No transportation issues were reported Thursday morning, Smith said.
