Betty Jane (Reed) Stephens, 92, of Fenelton, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, at New Haven Court.

Born May 1, 1931, in Fenelton, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Sarah B. (Nicklas) Reed.

Betty enjoyed going camping and boating with her husband and family. More than anything, she loved having picnics with her children, grandkids and great-grandkids.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Kay) Stephens, of Slippery Rock; her daughter, Linda (Jim) Young, of Butler; her grandkids, Robert (Melissa) Stephens, Penny Stephens, Sierra (Dennis) Loccisano, Mandy (Dan) Roesel, Corey (Brianne) Young and Bethany (Adam) Ochs; her great-grandkids, Dakota and Savannah Geibel, Carter, Grady and Owen Roesel, Brennan and Brynne Young, and Nolan and Cannon Ochs; her twin sister, Bessie Jean Boyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Stephens; her granddaughter, Candace Stephens; her sisters, Ruth Holmes and Esther Miller; and her brother, James Reed.

The family would like to thank the staff at New Haven Court for their excellent care and the staff of Amedisys Hospice, especially Amy, Allison, and Cindy.

STEPHENS — A funeral service for Betty Jane (Reed) Stephens, who died Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, will be held privately and officiated by Brady Randall.

Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
