Hearts 4 Haiti president the Rev. Jim Lewis and medical clinic director Dr. Maudelin Mesadieu were both in attendance at the gala in Franklin Township on Friday, Sept. 8. The two met 20 years ago. Hearts 4 Haiti funded Mesadieu’s schooling through medical school at Quisqueya University in Port-au-Prince. Hearts 4 Haiti held its first gala at The Atrium in Franklin Township on Friday, Sept. 8, celebrating 10 years of mission trips to Haiti and 20 years of knowing Dr. Maudelin Mesadieu, who is the director for the organization’s medical clinic in the village of Mombin Crochu.
