Woman accused of punching, pulling hair out during break-in

A Pittsburgh woman was accused of breaking into a Connoquenessing Township home and assaulting a woman, according to state police.
Sarah M. Koch, 24, was charged Thursday, Sept. 14, with felonies aggravated assault and burglary, misdemeanors disorderly conduct and simple assault and summaries harassment and criminal trespassing in relation to an incident on Sept. 10.
Police said that around 3 a.m. that morning, Koch entered an Eagle Mill Road residence without permission through an unlocked door. Once inside, documents claimed that Koch repeatedly punched a woman who was asleep on the living room couch.
Police said Koch also pulled out clumps of the woman’s hair during the altercation.
A man who also lived there removed Koch from the home and locked the doors to prevent her from reentering, according to court documents.
The woman went to the hospital to have her injuries assessed and later reported the incident to police at the Butler barracks, documents showed.
Koch’s preliminary hearing before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz has not yet been scheduled.
