Helen J. Claypoole, 71, of Parker, Perry Township, Armstrong County, received her eternal rest from the Lord Thursday evening, Sept. 21, 2023, at Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Helen was born in Butler on Oct. 20, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mabel Albert Boyle.

She attended school in Butler. Helen was a longtime member of the Queenstown United Methodist Church. Helen was a devoted homemaker and a loving and caring mother who raised two generations of kids.

Helen is survived by her husband, Richard J. “Dick” Claypoole, whom she married in Chicora, on Nov. 22, 1969. Also surviving is a son, Richard J. “Rich” Claypoole II, of Chicora; a daughter, Lisa A. McBride, of Butler; two adopted children, James Daniel Claypoole, of Minnesota, and Karah N. Claypoole, of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Justin Dennis, of Brady’s Bend, Connor Claypoole, of Chicora, Matthew McBride, of Butler, and Haley Claypoole, of Karns City; two great-grandchildren, Elliott and Megyn Dennis; three brothers, Donald Boyle, of Butler, Raymond Boyle and his wife, Margaret, of Rattigan, and Larry Boyle and his wife, Victoria, of Fenelton; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a number of siblings, a grandchild and a niece.

CLAYPOOLE — Private funeral arrangements for Helen J. Claypoole, who died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, are under the direction of HILE FUNERAL HOME, Karns City.
