Police reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

State police, Butler

Sept. 12 — Yulek S. Dec, 57, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor animal neglect and summary animal cruelty. Police said he left a puppy in a vehicle on a hot day.

Sept. 11 — Tyler D. Smith, 38, of Butler, was charged with felony prohibited possession of a firearm, misdemeanor DUI and several traffic citations after police stopped him June 11 on Morton Avenue, Butler Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and that a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.147%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%. A firearm was also found in his vehicle, police said.

Sept. 11 — Jessica H. Hilliard, 38, of Butler, was charged with four counts of misdemeanor drug possession. Police said suspected heroin and crack cocaine were found in her vehicle.

Sept. 11 — Michele L. Matteotti, of Emlenton, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her July 24 on Oneida Valley Road, Oakland Township. Police said she showed signs of impairment.

Sept. 11 — Joseph P. Gaiser, 37, of Portersville, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor drug possession. Police said he was found with suspected heroin, a glass pipe and Chore Boy.
