Police seek to identify Mustang involved in Friday pursuit
State police are requesting the public’s help identifying the vehicle and driver involved in a Friday, Sept. 22 pursuit in Center Township.
Police said around 9:30 p.m., they attempted to initiate a traffic stop for a dark-colored Ford Mustang on Route 8 near South Benbrook Road. The vehicle was illegally passing vehicles at a high rate of speed, according to documents.
The vehicle was pursued, police said, and it continued at a high rate of speed as it turned from Route 8 to Mercer Road, then onto Sunset Drive, then back onto Route 8. Documents showed the pursuit was then terminated.
State police requested that anyone with information regarding the vehicle identification or information about the operator contact the Butler barracks at 724-284-8100.
