TIME CAPSULE: John O. Heyser was set to retire from his job at Hoffman Auto Parts on Sept. 29, 1971, after 38 years of service, where his duties included calibrating speedometers on Pennsylvania state police cars at the Butler barracks. Heyser was in charge of the automotive electrical department at Hoffman Auto Parts, specializing in carburetor and magneto repairs throughout his career.
