Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Sept. 11 — Luzvin A. Saquic Menchu, 22, of Mars, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after he crashed his vehicle Sept. 11 on Pittsburgh Street, Mars. Police said a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.195%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Sept. 12 — Joseph A. Rocco, 45, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanors access device fraud and theft. Police said he used a credit card that was not his on two occasions.
Sept. 12 — Iulian Buzatu, 32, of Bronx, N.Y., and Vasile Lautaru, 28, of Mechanicsville, Va., were charged with misdemeanors conspiracy and tampering with physical evidence. Police said they removed a bag from a van that was held for an investigation.
Sept. 13 — Lucas J. Tovcimak-Savage, 39, of Millvale, was charged with two counts each of felony contraband and misdemeanor drug possession. Police said he was found with two glass pipes and two pieces of suspected crack cocaine while he was being processed at Butler County Prison.
Sept. 13 — Scott L. Gould, 29, of Wexford, 50, of Butler, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Rural King in Center Township
Sept. 12 — Donna R. Shelton, 60, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped her Sept. 7 on Mercer Road, Center Township. Police said field sobriety test showed she was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.154%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Sept. 12 — Courtney J. Miller, 23, of Butler, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police said she crashed her vehicle Sept. 10 on Carbon Center Road, Summit Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood alcohol content at 0.163%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Sept. 12 — Michael C. DeMayo, 56, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he was found with suspected crack cocaine.
Sept. 12 — Christopher J. Moraga, 37, of Pittsburgh, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him June 18 on Route 19, Cranberry Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.154%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Sept. 12 — Gerald B. Palmer, 54, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two counts of with misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him on Route 19, Cranberry Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later blood test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.126%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.
Sept. 11 — Tyler D. Smith, 38, of Butler, was charged with felony prohibited possession of a firearm, misdemeanor DUI and several traffic citations after police stopped him June 11 on Morton Avenue, Butler Township. Police said he showed signs of impairment, and that a later breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.147%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%. A firearm was also found in his vehicle, police said.
