None injured in 2-car crash on New Castle Road

BUTLER TWP — Both drivers escaped injury after a two-car collision at the intersection of New Castle Road and Evans City Road on Sunday night, Oct. 1, officials said.

The incident was first reported around 7 p.m., and involved a silver Cadillac and a red Oldsmobile. In each car, the driver was the only occupant. The front end of each vehicle was mangled in the collision.

“Nobody was injured. Nobody got transported to the hospital,” said Lt. Matt Martin of the Butler Township Volunteer Fire District.

Troopers from the state police and Butler Township police were at the scene. Units from the VA Butler Fire and Emergency Services and Butler Ambulance Service also responded to the scene.

The scene was cleared by 7:49 p.m., as tow trucks arrived to carry each car away.
