Cabot man accused of endangering road workers, reckless driving

A Cabot man was accused of driving recklessly along a Winfield Township road and endangering road workers, according to documents.

Paul S. Brosenitsch, 49, was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment and summaries disorderly conduct and reckless driving following an incident along Stoney Hollow Road and Christmas Lane.

On Sept. 18, state police said paving employees were placing signs along Christmas Lane when a black Subaru WRX drove onto the road at a high rate of speed. Documents showed Brosenitsch was later discovered to be the driver.

Brosenitsch returned several minutes later, stopping along the road, police said. When a road worker approached him and asked him to slow down, Brosenitsch said he “drives fast everywhere” and revved the engine, document showed.

Police said during this interaction, Brosenitsch spun the vehicle’s tires, which kicked rocks into the road worker’s face. He then sped off and nearly struck other workers.

Brosenitsch returned later that day and stopped his vehicle along the road to yell at the workers, police said. Documents showed he spun the tires and the car went off the road into a yard, then back on the road toward a worker. The worker was able to get out of the vehicle’s path, according to the affidavit.

Brosenitsch’s preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled.
