Robert Brown

Brown

Robert K. Brown, 92, of Butler, inherited the kingdom of heaven on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023.

Born on March 4, 1931, to the late Earl W. Brown and the late Ella Mae McCandless Brown.

Robert was in the Navy in 1949, where he was disabled, which lingered his whole life.

He married Wanda Rebecca Grossman, on June 18, 1955. They had three children. He worked at Pullman Standard for 22 years. He was a Mason, disabled veteran and member of the American Legion 243, West Sunbury. Robert was a member of the Unionville Presbyterian Church.

He liked to watch NASCAR and MMA fighting. He was delighted by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We loved and respected him. When Wanda passed, he said, “The one thing we know for sure, the sun will come up tomorrow.” He will live forever in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl W. Brown; Ella Mae McCandless Brown, his mother, whom he loved, lived 107 years; three sisters, Ruth, Mary and Joan; two brothers, Paul and Junior; and his wife, Wanda, whose departure in 2013 changed him, as it does everyone who loves someone so deeply.

BROWN — Arrangements for Robert K. Brown, who died Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
