PNC laying off workers over coming months

PNC Financial Services Group is laying off an undisclosed number of workers before the end of the year, with some receiving notice this week.
There are six PNC bank branches in Butler County.
The Pittsburgh-based banking firm, which has 11,600 workers in the region and more than 61,000 companywide, said that the layoffs will “better position our company for long-term success.”
The company continues to project a mild recession beginning next year.
