The swinging bridge connecting the end of West Diamond Street and Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park in Butler has reopened after being repaired.

Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy said boards had been pulled off the bridge by vandals, and part of it was rotting. The steel on the bridge was not damaged, according to Dandoy.

Dandoy said Tuesday, Oct. 17, that Thrower Construction repaired the bridge for $4,590, and it has reopened for crossing.
