Vincent Colosimo
Vincent Thomas Colosimo, 89, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Oct. 17, 2023.
Vince was born in Boyers, in 1934, to Raffaele and Antonetti Vitale Colosimo. He graduated from Grove City High School in 1952. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army for a two-year tour of duty. During that time, he met and later married Carolyn Thompson Colosimo on June 8, 1957, in Richmond, Va. Their loving commitment lasted more than 66 years.
In 1960, he graduated with honors from Youngstown State University. Later that summer, he started what would be his 30-year career with the Internal Revenue Service. After retirement, he had his own in-home tax prep business for several years. He loved vegetable gardening, beekeeping, hunting, fishing, warm vacation destinations, motorcycle rides (back in the day) and his family. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
Vince is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; three children, Vincent Jr. of Lake Ridge, Va., Sandra Griebel (Douglas) of Manhattan, N.Y. and Lisa Arnold (Thomas Jr.) of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Cara Arnold, Thomas Arnold III, Samantha Hall (Zachary) and Jackson Griebel; sister, Donece Janiak (Frank); brother, Francis; and several nieces and nephews.
COLOSIMO — Friends of Vincent Thomas Colosimo, who died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, 516 Stanton St., Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Deacon William Hisker officiating.
Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, where full military honors will be accorded by VFW Post 33 Greensburg Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Westmoreland County Food Bank or the Salvation Army.
