Janet and Jack Barger

Jack and Janet Barger, of Fairview Township, celebrated 70 years of marriage with a celebration with friends and family at their church.

Barger married the former Janet McMillin on Oct. 3, 1953, in Chicora.

They have two children, Randy Barger, of Petrolia, and Carol Daubenspeck, of Cadogan Township, Armstrong County. An infant son is deceased.

They also have three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Barger retired from Witco Chemical.

He is a member of Masonic Lodge 540 in Chicora.

Mrs. Barger is a housewife and babysat for family members for many years.

The Bargers are members of Fairview Red Brick Church in Fairview.
