Anthony Schoedel Sr.
Anthony E. “Tony” Schoedel Sr., 80, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023.
Tony was born in Pittsburgh, on Nov. 4, 1942, the son of the late Arthur G. and Ruth A. (Doherty) Schoedel.
Tony had an extraordinary work ethic his entire life. He loved farming, golf and hunting with his sons and grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Kathleen “Kathy”; five children, Yvette (Tracey) Kirby, Anthony (Linda) Schoedel, Richard (Kimberly) Kuhns-Schoedel, Sean Schoedel and George (Lori) Schoedel; 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Emma, Dennis, Dayna, Danyelle, Deyanna, Donovan, George, Sara, Jacob and Joshua; 10 great-grandchildren with another on the way, Navaiah, La’Hana, Kaylee, Micheal, Avant, Shemar, Aroura, Zara, Jasiah, Evelyn and Theodore; siblings, Michael Schoedel, Bernice Schoedel, Richard (Marilyn) Schoedel, Timothy (Rose) Schoedel, Kevin (Kimberly) Schoedel, Chris (Karen) Schoedel and Mary Schoedel; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Tony was predeceased by his siblings, Arthur T. Schoedel, Grace M. Rosenbaum and R. Susan Worst; and his in-laws, Elmer and Mildred (Donovan) Picard, Elmer Picard, Yvonne Lancaster, John Picard and Sondra Harding.
SCHOEDEL — Family and friends of Anthony E. “Tony” Schoedel Sr., who died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church, with the Rev. John Gallagher officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Warrendale. Rest in peace.
