Norma Fisher
Norma J. Fisher, 81, of Jackson Center, Pa., passed away in the evening hours of Monday, Oct. 23, 2023.
Norma was born to the late Mary Cecil (Schell) & Archie Oscar Ritenour, on Sept. 6, 1942.
Norma worked for many years at Grove City College, where she held positions all over the campus, serving longest as a building supervisor. She continued in the education system by driving a school bus. Norma enjoyed fishing as well as showing her artistic side through paint. Most importantly, Norma enjoyed spending time with her family.
Norma married her late husband, Melvin C. Fisher, on Sept. 3, 1966.
She is survived by her son, Wade M. Fisher of Grove City; six grandchildren, Jessica (Adam) Kaufman, Lauren Best, and Elijah, Ethan, Elizabeth and Ezra Fisher; and two great-grandchildren, Charlette and Annalynn Kaufman.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Shelly L. Best; and three siblings, Donald Ritenour, Ruth Kober and Dorothy Roher.
FISHER — Friends of Norma J. Fisher, who died Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, will be received for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at ROSE & BLACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 99 Franklin St., Stoneboro. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, with the Rev. Geoffery Wilde officiating.
Private interment will take place at Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
