Bruce Kontos

Bruce A. Kontos, 71, of Saxonburg, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, at his home.

Born Dec. 18, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of the late Richard Kontos and Dorothy M. (Davis) Kontos.

Bruce was a graduate of Butler High School. He worked at Burger Hut in Butler in his younger years. Bruce was an active member of the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his loving nieces, Joy (Daniel) Lavezoli of Pittsburgh and Jeannine Edwards of Virginia Beach, Va.; great-nieces and great-nephew, Lauren and Faith Lavezoli and Justin Kontos and Jordan Edwards; his sister-in-law, Ida Jean Kontos of Pittsburgh; and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Kontos.

The Saxonburg community was incredibly kind to Bruce and we’re grateful for the support and love given to him. Thank you to the friends from church, the police, EMS, the mayor, his neighbors and especially his caseworker, Karla Meals.

KONTOS — Friends of Bruce A. Kontos, who died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023, will be received 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will follow at 11:30 a.m., with Pastor Douglas Dorsey officiating.

Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Butler County Agency on Aging or the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.
