Friends and family to hold benefit for Slippery Rock resident Monica Resek
Friends and family of Monica Resek will be holding a spaghetti dinner benefit from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4 to raise funds for the lifelong Slippery Rock resident and community member battling cancer.
A silent auction, 50/50 raffle and bake sale will also take place. All proceeds will go toward Resek’s medical expenses.
The event will take place at the Slippery Rock Township Building, 155 Branchton Road. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years old and under.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Checks can be made payable to Monica Resek and mailed to her daughter, Cassie Vogan, at 166 W. Liberty St., Apt. 2, Slippery Rock, A, 16057.
Resek is active in the Slippery Rock community and has worked as a secretary at the Slippery Rock Area Middle School. She volunteers at the Slippery Rock Volunteer Fire Company, her cousin, Doreen Taggert said.
