The following defendants were sentenced Tuesday, Oct. 31 in Butler County Common Pleas Court by Judge Timothy McCune.
Khalif Edward Des Rippy, 23, of Philadelphia was sentenced to serve 24 to 60 months in state prison after pleading guilty to two felony and one misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver filed by state police in three cases following incidents in 2021 and 2022 in Butler.
James John Smith Jr., 30, of Ellwood City was sentenced to serve 20 days to 12 months in the county prison, but was immediately paroled after pleading guilty to a charge of recklessly endangering another person filed by Butler Township police following an Oct. 27, 2022, incident.
Troy Whitmire, 27, of Butler was sentenced to serve six to 23 months in county prison and fined $100 after pleading guilty to assault of a law enforcement officer and public drunkenness filed by Butler City police following a June 7 incident in which he spat on an officer.
Blase Anthony Fusco, 61, of Butler was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation including four months of house arrest after pleading guilty to a charge of disorderly conduct filed by Butler City police following an Aug. 10, 2020, incident.
James William McDeavitt, 38, of Butler was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including 105 days of house arrest, fined $1,500 and complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, his second DUI offense, filed by state police following a May 18 incident in Franklin Township.
Cody Michael Sidwell, 36, of Monaca was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including 105 days of house arrest, fined $1,500 and to complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to his second DUI offense filed by state police following a May 10 incident in Muddy Creek Township.
Levean Lorane Smith, 24, of Butler was sentenced to serve 72 hours to six months in the county prison, fined $1,000 and to complete 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a driving under the influence of a controlled substance charge filed by state police following a May 27 incident in Butler.
Jenna Marie Stone, 39, of Bruin was sentenced to serve six months of probation including seven days of house arrest, fined $700 and to complete 40 hours of community service and litter pickup after pleading guilty to DUI and driving without a license charges filed by state police following a May 26 incident in Parker Township.
Scott A. Richards, 66, of Prospect was sentenced to serve 24 months of probation including 21 days of house arrest and fined $600 after pleading guilty to his first and second DUI offenses and a disorderly conduct charge filed by state police following a Feb. 10, 2022, incident in Butler Township and a Feb. 3, 2022, incident in Prospect. He has completed veterans treatment court.
Heather Lynn Bloom, 41, of Carnegie was sentenced to serve 12 months of probation and complete 25 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by Cranberry Township police following a March 16, 2021, incident.
Darin Joseph Dou Carter, 27, of Pittsburgh was sentenced to serve 36 months of probation and pay $16,847 in restitution to Manheim Pittsburgh after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by Cranberry Township police following a May 1, 2022, incident.
