Snow to continue in Butler into Wednesday afternoon, officials said

Butler County residents woke up Wednesday, Nov. 1, to a blanket of snow on the ground, and the National Weather Service of Pittsburgh expects more flurries throughout the morning.

According to meteorologist John Darnely, snow could continue blowing in from the Great Lakes until 3 p.m. Wednesday.

“There’s a chance it could turn into light rain before 3 p.m.,” he added.

Darnely estimated less than half an inch of snow would accumulate before 4 p.m. He said the snow is not expected to stay for long, as the ground is not yet frozen.

Wednesday temperatures are expected to reach 38 degrees, and rise to 45 degrees Thursday.
