PENN TWP — A vehicle hit scaffolding outside of McBride Station Bar and Grill on Thursday evening, Nov. 2, around 7 p.m. after the driver went off the road, Penn Township police said.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman, veered off the road on Route 8, said Sergeant Cheryl Cranmer.

The driver was examined by paramedics at the scene and no injuries were reported, Cranmer said. She said McBride Station was open at the time of the crash and remained open as Penn Township fire crew cleaned up debris outside.

The scaffolding hit by the vehicle was in place to do repair work resulting from a box truck crashing into the building in June, Cranmer said.

Penn Township Police Department, Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the call. The vehicle was towed at the scene.
