Holly McCoy officially appointed as SRU’s chief human resources officer
Slippery Rock University announced Wednesday, Nov. 1, that Holly McCoy has been appointed as the university's chief human resources officer, effective immediately.
McCoy is responsible for strategic leadership and management of employees in the areas of human resources, compliance, payroll and leadership development.
She had served as interim chief human resources officer and Title IX coordinator since June 2022 and was selected as the successful candidate for the position after the university conducted a national search.
“I'm thrilled for the opportunity to continue in this role at an exciting time for the university under the leadership of our new president, Dr. Karen Riley,” McCoy said.
Before coming to SRU, McCoy was the director of social equity at East Stroudsburg University. She earned her juris doctoral degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1992 and her bachelor of arts in English and bachelor of arts in government and international studies from the University of Notre Dame in 1989.
