Lyle Prescott
Lyle James Prescott, 7, of Butler, passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, while under the care of UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 7, 2015 in Kittanning, he was the son of David J. Prescott and Gina D. Gigliotti Prescott.
Lyle was a second-grade student enrolled at St. Wendelin School in Butler. He played flag football for Upward Sports and hockey for the Butler Deck Hockey League. He was a proud member of Cub Scout Troop 30. He loved music and dancing. He enjoyed riding his quad and his golf cart. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. Lyle was an animal lover and especially loved the family’s livestock, dogs and cats. He adored, idolized and looked up to his brother, Judd, and always strove to do everything like him. He will be remembered for being a friend to everybody and going out of his way to make everyone smile. He will be most tenderly remembered and greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lyle leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Judd Prescott at home; his paternal grandparents, Larry and MaryJane Poling of Perryopolis, Pa.; his great-grandmother, Wanetta Haggerty of West Virginia; his maternal grandparents, Richard P. and Cynthia Finnegan Gigliotti of Butler; his many aunts and uncles; and his 17 cousins.
Lyle was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joey Prescott.
PRESCOTT — Friends of Lyle James Prescott, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew. Please, casual dress for visitation and the service.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., Butler, with Pastor Brandon Lenhart officiating. Please meet at the church. Lyle will be laid to rest at North Side Cemetery in Butler.
