Paul Smith

Smith

Paul Smith, 88, of Butler, went home to Heaven surrounded by family on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.

He was born in Butler, on Sept. 22, 1935, to the late Kenneth and Luella (Stutz) Smith.

After graduation, Paul went on to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Navy. He worked until retirement at Armco in the hot mill as a roller. Paul was known for being loving, kind and generous; for always smiling, singing or whistling along to music and having a great sense of humor; and for being a great husband, father and grandfather. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish and go boating and camping at his camp in East Brady. He was a member of the American Legion.

Paul was the father of Glenda Day, Terri (Dave) Klutinoty, Susan Smith and Douglas Smith; brother of Kay Reott and Joseph Smith; grandfather of nine; and great-grandfather of 22 — plus two on the way.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Virginia Smith; daughter, Sharon Smith; three brothers; and one sister.

SMITH — Burial for Paul Smith, who died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, was held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
