Girl Scout Junior Troop 28030, based at Mars Area School District, hosted a food drive to benefit Inspired Hearts & Hands.
The Scouts collected 2,117 food items over the course of a weekend, which will help feed the 800 local families Inspired Hearts & Hands supports in the southwestern Butler County area.
The Scouts also assisted in unloading, organizing and scanning the items for distribution through Inspired Hearts & Hands’ volunteer network.
Many of the Scouts have been part of the troop since its inception during their kindergarten year in 2019, and continue in Girl Scouts charitable endeavors as fourth-graders.
