State police are hosting a free car seat safety check event from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Unionville Volunteer Fire Company, as part of a statewide campaign to ensure passenger safety in vehicles.

Department personnel certified as Child Passenger Safety technicians will be conducting the free child seat fitting events.

At the events, visitors can have their car seats checked for suitability, receive instruction on the proper installation and have seats installed, learn to properly harness a child in a seat and check seats for recalls.

For more information on the seat check event, visit the state police website.
