Helen Frances Dorko, 87, of Butler, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born Feb. 12, 1936, in Barnesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of Frank and Catherine (Myslivy) Klimek.

She attended Barnesboro School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and Ursuline College in Ohio. She worked as a nurse and retired from Lake Hospital in Painesville, Ohio, in 1996.

She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Helen loved reading, cooking, baking and crocheting, especially afghans. She always looked forward to the family’s annual Labor Day reunions.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Andy; her sons, David (Lydia) of Zelienople and Andrew (Charlene) of Hermitage; her daughter, Michelle (Mark) Beuchat of Harmony; her grandchildren, Lara, Adam, Sarah, James, Amanda and Victoria; one great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her three brothers, Stanley, Richard and Thomas; and her sister, Louise.

DORKO — Friends of Helen Frances Dorko, who died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., Butler.

Helen will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Butler.
