Louis Sleigher

Louis (Butch or Louie) William Sleigher died on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at his son's home, with other family members at his bedside.

Louis was the son of Lewis Sylvester Sleigher and Dorothy Joyce (McClain) Sleigher. He is survived by his brother, Michael Jude Sleigher of East Butler; and two sisters, Sister Stella Marie, S.C.M.C., formerly Kathleen Sleigher of Baltic, Conn., and Joanne Halahan of Antioch, Calif.

Lou was born in Butler but raised in East Butler. He attended St. Peter's Elementary School, St. Paul's Elementary School, St. Fidelis Seminary School for 18 months and graduated from Butler High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps during his senior year of high school and continued to serve in the Reserves for four years.

Lou also is survived by his wife, Vonnie Sleigher; his three children, Tina Michelle Longest, William Von Sleigher and David Von Sleigher; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

SLEIGHER — Services for Louis William Sleigher, who died Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, will take place on Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 6800 Anderson Drive, The Colony, Texas.

Arrangements for Louis' burial are entrusted to MULKEY-MASON FUNERAL HOME, 740 S. Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX 75067.
