Bette Jo Traggiai

Bette Jo Traggiai, 79, of Cabot, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023.

She was born in Springdale, on Feb. 18, 1944, to the late Joseph Sr. and Pearlie (Linderman) Trempus.

Bette Jo was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed painting and playing piano in her spare time. After graduating high school, she worked at Moonlight Mushrooms before becoming the activities director for Saxony Health Center, where she worked until retirement. Bette Jo spent her retirement fostering parrots with Pearl Parrot Rescue and taught painting classes at the Butler YMCA.

She was the beloved wife of Regis Traggiai for 55 years; mother of Regina (Vince) Russo, Donovan (Tracy) Traggiai and daughter-in-law Becca Traggiai; sister of Pearlie Lauer, Hallie Bruni, Priscilla (Dave) Heim, Rhoda (Jay) Shoaf, Melinda (Christine) Trempus and Joseph Trempus Jr.; grandmother of Chelsea, David, Devin, Vincent, Nicholas, Hanna, Emma, Marissa and Addyson; and great-grandmother of Bristol, Michael and Otto.

Bette Jo was preceded in death by her son, Jason Traggiai.

TRAGGIAI — A memorial Mass for Bette Jo Traggiai, who died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Saint Francis Parish, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of Cabot, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot.

Arrangements are through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
