Butler County fire departments assist at West Deer Township fire
Two Butler County fire companies helped fight a rekindled fire in West Deer Township, Allegheny County, on Wednesday morning, Nov. 29.
According to Butler County dispatchers, Middlesex and Saxonburg volunteer fire companies brought tankers and firetrucks to 1187 Logan Road, West Deer Township, just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire initially started at the Logan Road home Tuesday evening. Other news outlets report that the address is the site of a former alpaca farm.
According to dispatch reports, the fire started around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Dispatchers reported that Middlesex and Saxonburg firefighters assisted on the Tuesday call as well.
Butler units cleared the scene around 8 a.m. Wednesday, dispatchers said.
