Caring Angel baskets being raffled at Butler Memorial Hospital
The Butler Health System Foundation’s Caring Angel Basket and 50/50 Raffle is taking place from Nov. 30 through Thursday, Dec. 7 in the Nixon Sarver Classrooms at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Employees, physician offices, ambulance service providers and other community members donate baskets each year to be raffled off to raise money. The Foundation’s Caring Angel Program has taken place for 29 years, and has raised more than $2 million.
According to the foundation’s website, the funds raised help families and children in need through educational, therapeutic and support services at BHS Family Services. These programs provide individual, family and group counseling, parent-child interactive therapy, adolescent after-school programming and much more. Funds also support charitable emergency room care to children whose parents or guardians do not have the resources to pay.
Basket tickets are 25 for $10 and 50/50 tickets are 10 for $10. The classrooms will be open for people to buy tickets from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends through Dec. 7.
Tickets will be drawn on Dec. 8, and winners will be contacted following the drawing and pick-up arrangements will be coordinated.
