The two students who escaped Summit Academy early Sunday, Dec. 3, are accused of taking a golf cart from a business in Jefferson Township, according to state police.

Police said Tuesday they investigated a burglary Sunday morning at Nuttall Golf Cars on Freeport Road. A rear window was found smashed, and it was determined clothing, drinks and a 2022 gas-powered golf cart had been taken, documents showed.

The two students were identified in connection to the thefts, and were taken into custody Sunday in Venango County.

The students were 13 and 14 years old.
