Whitmer

Carole Beverly Whitmer, 85, of East Butler, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning, Dec. 6, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her home.

Carole was born in Rimersburg on Dec. 10, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Dale and Lillian Ida Nelly Conner.

She was a graduate of Union Joint High School. Carole was a member of East Butler Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, elder and Sunday school teacher. She retired from the Irene Stacy Institute.

Carole is survived by her husband, William Russell Whitmer, whom she married in Rimersburg on Oct. 6, 1956; two daughters, Shelby (Paul) Biedenbach of Herman and Melanie Fallecker of Fenelton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Shick and Edna Delaney.

WHITMER — A memorial service for Carole Beverly Whitmer, who died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, to be held at the East Butler Presbyterian Church, will be announced in January.
