Sentence court

The following were sentenced Tuesday, Dec. 5 by Common Pleas Judge Timothy McCune.

Steven Matthew Amon II, 50, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 60 months of probation including eight months in prison and seven months of house arrest, fined $300 and ordered to complete litter pickup and 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and driving under the influence filed by state police following an April 13 incident in Fairview Township.

Bryon Keith Chambers, 47, of New Brighton, Beaver County, was sentenced to serve six months of probation and pay $148 in restitution to Walmart in Cranberry Township after pleading guilty to a retail theft charge filed by Cranberry Township police following a March 10 incident.

Philip Leight Covel III, 50, of Butler, was sentenced to serve 18 months of probation after pleading guilty to a possession of drug paraphernalia charge filed by Middlesex Township police following a Sept. 20, 2021, incident and a retail theft charge filed by Butler City police following a Nov. 30, 2022, incident.

The following were sentenced Friday, Dec. 8, by Common Pleas Judge Kelley Streib.

Laurie Richelle Crawford, 42, of Butler, was sentenced to serve six months of probation, pay a $1,000 fine and perform 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a first offense DUI following an April 24 incident in Butler Township.

Cheryl Ann Garvin, 64, of Cabot, was sentenced to 16 months of probation and 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a second offense DUI following an April 28 incident in Winfield Township.

Nicholas Thor Heath, 43, of Prospect, was sentenced to serve two to four years in prison, pay a fine of $1,500 and perform 40 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a second offense DUI following an incident June 5 in Center Township.
