Butler Eagle announces its December “Pets of the Month”
The Butler Eagle is proud to partner with the Butler County Humane Society to bring you the “Pets of the Month,” showcasing two of the wonderful pets up for adoption at their facility.
Take a look at your December pets of the month below.
Funyun came into the Humane Society as a fun loving stray dog. She’s a bundle of energy and loves to play, especially with squeaky toys. She also enjoys running laps around the yard outside the Humane Society and getting all of her energy out, including jumping around in the grass. Due to her energy levels, the Humane Society recommends Funyun for active homes where she’s able to explore and run off her energy.
With her abundance of energy and her love for jumping, it is also recommended that Funyun go to a home with children over the age of 10 years old. Homes with cats would require a retest for Funyun as she got too overwhelmed in initial testing. Homes with other dogs would require a dog introduction before adoption.

Farrah is an approximately 1.5 year old female cat that weighs in at about 12 pounds. Still very young and playful, Farrah has become a favorite among the volunteers at the Humane Society that come in to socialize with her. Feather toys, crinkle balls, and almost any other cat toy you can image can be found scattered around her condo after one of her play sessions. Like most cats, after her long play sessions she enjoys cuddling up inside of her bed for some rest before the next bout of energy strikes.
While Farrah loves the attention of humans, the Humane Society recommends she go to a home where she will be the only animal.
