The Tri-County Workforce Investment Board named its Employer of the Year Awards in Butler, Armstrong and Indiana counties earlier this month.

HF Sinclair-Sonneborn, a manufacturer of high-purity specialty products, took home the award for Butler County. The business employs approximately 190 people at its Petrolia facility.

HF Sinclair classifies itself as an energy company that manufactures and sells products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, renewable diesel, specialty lubricant products, specialty chemicals and specialty and modified asphalt among others.

In Armstrong County, HAVIN, Inc. which stands for Helping All Victims In Need received the award. Indiana County Technology Center won the honor in Indiana County.
