Spaghetti dinner to benefit Menchyk family

A spaghetti dinner is planned Sunday, Dec. 17, to benefit a Connoquenessing Township couple who lost their home in a fire.

Frank and Barb “Breeze” Menchyk’s lost their two dogs alongside all of their belongings Nov. 30 after a fire claimed their home on Connoquenessing School Road.

Barb has also been actively battling an aggressive breast cancer for the last two-and-a-half years.

The fundraising dinner runs from noon to 6 p.m. at the Prospect Fire Hall, including spaghetti and dessert. While pop and water will also be provided, BYOB is encouraged.

The afternoon will additionally include a basket raffle, 50/50 raffles and a donation basket. Live music will be performed by the Shriners.

Entry for the dinner and the band will be $15, and takeout will be available for $10.
