Woman hit by vehicle in Butler flown to Pittsburgh hospital
A woman was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on N. Main Street in Butler City, according to dispatch.
Crews from the Butler Fire Department, Butler Police Department, and Butler Ambulance Service responded to the scene outside Peoples Gas a little after 6 p.m.
When they arrived, the woman was found conscious but down on the road with a leg injury.
She was transported by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital, where a waiting LifeFlight helicopter from Clarion Hospital flew her to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
There was no word on the driver of the vehicle involved Tuesday evening.
