Allegheny-Clarion Valley students show off their art for holiday season
Drive through Emlenton this holiday season and you’ll be able to spot the work of students at Allegheny-Clarion Valley Junior/Senior High School, who have had their art posted in various storefronts for the whole town to see this month.
Four of the school’s art students, at the direction of art teacher Rachel Forsythe, submitted their art to be displayed for the town’s “Light-up Night” event, held on Dec. 2.
According to Susan King of the Emlenton Civic Club, the four students were doing this as part of their senior project.
“We do it for the holidays, but it was mainly for Emlenton Light-up Night, when Santa came to town and we lit up the Christmas tree,” King said.
Pieces of artwork are on display at the Studio 867 beauty salon, the Emlenton Civic Club building and at the Emlenton Brew Haus, all on Main Street.
