Gale A. Hoak, 94, of Cabot, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born Dec. 13, 1929, in Leechburg, she was the daughter of Richard B. Thompson and Marjorie Knappenberger.

Gale had worked at Allegheny Ludlum as a switchboard operator and in the payroll department. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sarver.

Surviving are two sons, Mark (Leslie) Anderson of Butler and Jerry Anderson of Anniston, Ala.; three grandchildren, Melissa, Douglas and Sarah; and one great-granddaughter, Sienna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Leonard K. Anderson; her second husband, Royden “Cork” Hoak; two brothers, Jack Thompson and Richard Thompson; and three sisters, Bonnie Hawley, Nancy Shaffer and Carolyn Asay.

HOAK — Friends of Gale A. Hoak, who died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at FOX FUNERAL HOME, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Shawn Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leechburg.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
