Several children spent some time Saturday playing the life-size Candyland game at the Zelienople Area Public Library.

Melissa and Peter Turner said they bring their children to the Candyland game ever year. Melissa said the library hosts a lot of activities, and Candyland easy and fun for children to play.

“We use the library often,” Peter said.

This is the third year the library has set up the game in the lower level.

“It's a fabulous new tradition that we are delighted to bring back for its third year,” said Alyssa Smith, children's librarian.

She said 400 people played the game last year and is hope more will play this year.

The game is open through Jan. 20 during the library's normal business hours.
