High school sports roundup: North Catholic girls volleyball reaches WPIAL title match

The North Catholic girls volleyball team advanced to Saturday’s WPIAL Class 4A championship match with a 3-2 win over Canon-McMillan on Wednesday night.
The Big Macs rallied from a set down twice before giving in during the fifth and final game. The scores of the match, from the Trojanettes’ perspective, were 25-17, 13-25, 25-18, 22-25 and 15-13.
Boys Soccer
With a pair of second-half goals, Mars got past Bethel Park 2-0 in a WPIAL Class 3A boys soccer third-place consolation game at Fox Chapel High School on Wednesday night.
