Two longtime participants in the LIFE Butler County senior care program, identified only as Kim and Donnie, were married in an official ceremony earlier this month.

According to a news release from Lutheran SeniorLife, the couple had been together for over 20 years, but the marriage went ahead due to Donnie’s declining health.

“As a witness to this union, it was heartwarming to see Kim walk down the aisle to her smiling groom,” said social worker Erin Alexander. “This wedding was such a beautiful moment and a true reminder of why the work we all do is so important.”
